(FRIDAY). Applying my OWN schemes & philosophies:

... In lieu of my trainer's trip outta town, I took it upon myself to perform a WIDE variety of exerciseS & calming/relaxing techniqueS on my own.  In addition to my DAILY morning-ritual of WALKING--alongside my constructible walkER--this morning, I also performed four [very NEAR successive] sets of 50 "crunches-REVERSE situps" combos.*  To relax myself even more, I both watched a few episodes of the hilarious television show Whose Line is it Anyway? as well as wrote a few pages of my most recent (19th) (Yes, I have FINISHED 18 other GREAT ones!) book.

Immediately after my [not so] lil' lavatory-escapade came a FULL-body bombardment of relaxation.  Yes, I planned this AAAAALL!**

* --> (T.M.I.?) In addition to my enduring PHYSICAL stress, I also added a rather INTENSE push of EXCRETION  while nestled above my john.

** --> In actuality, due to my main nurse's insightful observation, by removing my bowel-tracking log from beside my desk, I can no longer [subconsciously] WORRYso MUCH about scheduling my bodily releases.

(TUESDAY -- July 25) No (FORMAL) workout

... My trainer is OUT of town for the week.  Thus, I devised my OWN [abridged] exercises:

(Since my caregiver is not licensed/insured to safely monitor me on my parallel bars, I simply exercised in bed.)

--> 5 sets of 50 crunches-reverse sit-ups mix

--> 3--rather than my usual 1--consecutive laps of WALKING around my [big] house

(That TRIPLES my usual work not just literally but by working my strength, endurance, stamina & muscle coordination.)

--> (T.M.I. warning:) I excreted a  MEDIUM-mixed bowel movement which always requires a good deal of effortful PUSHing followed by comfortable RELIEF.  Also, an excretion is ALWAYS a pleasant indicator that I satisfactorily worked all my bodily systems.

... Additionally, I wrote a BUNCH.

(More specifically, I jotted down almost four FULL pages of my 19th book, wrote two poems & won six games of no mines marked, "Expert"-level Minesweeper @ ~5:45 this morning.)

... Evidently, I AAAM very much a MORNING-person.

(MONDAY) AMBIvalence ... is EVERYwhere! (with me)

So, I went in for my routinely scheduled podiatry appointment.  This visit yielded MIXED reactions:

--> Of the ... eight or so other patients I observed during my stay PLUS the seven or so medical employees, there were ZERO masks worn.  I wore MYYY mask.

... I can either view this as either

A) This pandemic situation is [SLIGHTLY] improving.

OR

2) Too many do not have enough respect for others' health.

--> My foot doctor revealed that, although I do still have onychomyosis with onychodystrophy, he sees nothing getting worse.  His recommended treatment is going well.

(FRIDAY). GEEEEEZ! I almost FORGOT to BLOG.

... After I specifically talked to my trainer this very day about my [tentative] blogging schedule, I had better keep my word!

Well, my workout was actually pretty much EXACTLY what I've been performing BI-weekly (TWICE a week).

-- 20 bicep curls on left arm with 10 lb dumbbell
-- 30 regular bicep curls and 20 hammer curls on right side with 15 lbs

-- Walking on the parallel bars forward (2 laps), backwards (2 laps) and sideways (just 1 lap)

   ... 30 calf raises

-- 10 isomeric leg extensions with my trainer's resistance on the left leg

-- HIP-ups: 140 total but 90 reps then rest and then 50 reps
(I again tied my RECORD-HIGH!)

-- Tricep extension 2 sets each arm
   ... 1 set of 20 reps & 1 set of 15 reps on the left side--both with 10 lbs
... 2 sets of 15 reps on the right, but 1st set was with 15 lbs and the 2nd set was 10 lbs

-- 30 ball hamstring curls with 2 legs but also single leg hamstring curls 20 reps with each leg

-- ~13 minute BIKE ride

(TUESDAY) NOBODY's gonna rain on MYYY [kinetic] parade!

...

Thunderstorms were APLENTY this ... afternoon!  But, NOT early enough to affect my [outdoor] BIKE riding--THANKFULLY.  Nevertheless, I performed my USUAL workout activities:

-- Walking on the parallel bars forward (2 laps), backwards (2 laps) and sideways (just 1 lap)

   ... 30 calf raises
(... I dunno why I've been typing 20, when--for the last ... ~two+ months, I always do 30.)

-- 20 bicep curls on left arm with 10 lb dumbbell (+4 extra, 'cuz my wrist gave out on four extensions)
-- 30 regular bicep curls and 20 hammer curls on right side with 15 lbs

-- ~13 minute BIKE ride

... AAAAAh, yes.  CONSISTENCY is KEY!

------------------------------------------------------------------------
--> With the help of my MAIN nurse, I clarified a mixup with one of my CareGivers about the EXACT date I am treating my mom OUT to the new 'Oppenheimer' flick.
('Tis not 'til NEXT Wednesday, the 26th.)
... I ate an additional meal this afternoon, 'cuz of the confusion of my film outing & my delayed bowel movement.
... RELAX!  I excreted my bodily waste BEFORE the feeding, so 'twas ONLY stimulated by my [INTENSE] workout with my trainer--JUST as [my nurse &] IIIII predicted.

(SUNDAY) NO rest for the WEARY!

... My SPEECH Therapist (mother) scheduled a session for noon today, because she just felt like getting in more practice.

(I did not object, because she was outta town this past week, so she missed both Wednesday & Thursday classes.)

Typically, I am NOT overly enthused about language arts.

(I've ALWAYS been waaaaaay more NUMBERS-oriented than letters-fixated.)

--> After a considerable amount of talking--by ME--in explaining math, Netflix & housemates, we watched TWO episodes of a new show [that I got her now hooked on].

............

(SATURDAY) WHOOPS! I forgot to mention

... that on this past Thursday, due to both my SPEECH therapist's/mom's being out of town as well as my usual weekDAY-caregiver's being on vacation, I went BIKING for my usual ~14 minute ride around the 'hood.

'Twas a SOLIDly, UNeventful day.

(I ALWAYS LOOOVE days that I BIKE!)
